Further Options for going abroad

It is also possible to study at any other university apart from the ones mentioned. Please note that it will be necessary to clarify in advance with the studies advisor if programme achievements will be accepted. Please find further information here.

Financing:

There are varoius ways of financing the stay abroad by fundings, Auslands-BAföG (education advancement grants) or education loan. Through their funding-programme Hamburglobal, Universität Hamburg for example supports studies, trips to acquire practical experience and language courses abroad by partial scholarships and  disturbance allowances. In case you would like to study abroad for one or two terms, it is recommended to take the terms off. If you exmatriculate instead of taking a sabbatical term, you will not be able to apply for fundings by the Universität Hamburg or from DAAD/EU-programmes  (e.g. ERASMUS, PROMOS).
